Questions new homeowners ask
What if I cannot find my inspection report?
Your inspector keeps copies, usually for years, and will resend it. Your agent likely has it in the transaction file too. If neither works, you can still start BTLR by adding your home and answering a short walkthrough instead.
My inspection was two years ago. Is it still useful?
Yes. Inspections describe systems and their condition, and those change slowly. The roof that had eight years left then has six now, which BTLR accounts for. An old report is a much better starting point than nothing.
Is this a home warranty?
No. A warranty is an insurance product that pays out after something breaks. BTLR is the opposite end: it tells you what is likely to break and when, so fewer things get to the payout stage. We do not sell coverage and we do not process claims.
Do I need to buy sensors or install anything?
