Our Story

Most people don't have a person to call.

Nathan

My dad has spent his career taking care of other people's homes.

He runs a concierge business for wealthy families. Their homes, their boats, their cars. When a pipe drips or a generator makes a sound it shouldn't, his clients don't open a search bar. They call Dad. And then they stop thinking about it, because they know he's got it.

I grew up watching that. I watched him remember the age of a client's water heater the way other people remember birthdays. I watched him walk a property before the family flew home so the house would be ready before anyone asked. I watched people hand him the keys to the most valuable things they owned, and I understood, slowly, what they were really paying for.

It was never the repairs. It was the feeling of being taken care of.

Here's the part that stuck with me: trust is why his business works, and trust is why it can't grow. Dad can only know so many plumbers, remember so many roofs, answer so many calls. His clients get that feeling because he is the one behind it. Everyone else gets a folder of paperwork and a search bar.

I see the other side of that every day. I work in escrow. I've sat across from hundreds of families closing on the biggest purchase of their lives. We hand them the keys, everybody hugs, and then they walk out the door alone. The inspection report goes in a drawer. Maintenance becomes whatever breaks first. The biggest investment of their lives gets managed with less care than their car.

The question that wouldn't leave me alone was simple. Why does having someone in your corner only exist for people who can afford my dad?

BTLR is my answer. It's my dad's business, built into a system. A personal home butler for the everyday homeowner. It knows your home the way Dad knows his clients' homes: the roof's age, the filter sizes, the service history, who to call. It looks ahead instead of reacting. And it never forgets.

We're building it as a family, because this industry is what my family does. My mom was the number one home warranty sales rep in the nation for 27 years before she moved into management. My stepdad was the top title rep at his company before he left to flip houses, and then to lend on them. My brother and I are in escrow. My aunts, my cousins, my sister-in-law: agents, lenders, title, home warranty, escrow management. Around our dinner table, the whole industry has a seat.

And Dad still runs his concierge business. It's our blueprint for what care should feel like.

Between all of us, we've watched families at every step of this journey: the offer, the loan, the title, the closing, and the years after. We know where people get taken care of. And we know exactly where they get left alone. BTLR is built from all of it.

We test everything we build against one question: would my dad do this for his clients?

If yes, BTLR should do it for you.

Most people get the keys, get a little scared, and figure it out alone. BTLR exists so you don't have to. That's the whole company.

“At the end of the day, most homeowners don't need another app. They just need someone they can trust.”
