Handing over your inspection report, your insurance policy, your mortgage statement: that takes trust. We built BTLR the way we would want our own family's home handled, and we would rather explain exactly how it works than ask you to take our word for it.
Everything below is true of the product as it runs today, not a roadmap.
Your documents are stored in private, encrypted storage. Nothing you upload is ever publicly reachable, and every download link your account uses expires minutes after it is created.
Protection is enforced at the database itself, row by row, not just in the app. Your records answer only to your login. This is the same layered approach banks use: even if one door were somehow opened, the next one is locked.
BTLR reads your inspection, policy, and statements for exactly one purpose: building your BTLR Score, your repair plan, and your reminders. Your documents are never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with anyone you did not choose.
Some parts of your account are designed to work for you this way: when your numbers suggest you could save money, like a rate window opening or mortgage insurance becoming removable, BTLR can let the right person on your Home Team know it is worth a conversation. These alerts carry the moment, never the details: no dollar amounts, no documents, no personal financial specifics. You decide who is on your team, you can set anyone to inactive in one tap, and you can switch lender alerts off entirely in Settings.
Card details go directly to Stripe, the payment platform behind millions of businesses. Your card number never touches BTLR's servers, so it is not ours to lose.
Want your data cleared or exported? Email hello@btlrai.com from your account address and it is handled. Even the in-app reset was designed so nothing important can be wiped by accident.
Write to hello@btlrai.com. A founder reads every message, and security reports go to the top of the pile.
